What you buy, and what we promise
Last changed 14 September 2026
1. Who you are dealing with
Import Registry Africa is a trading name of Tradyon VOF, Molenweg 30, 3223 AE Hellevoetsluis, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce 99694980, VAT NL869094932B01. These terms apply to the site at importregistryafrica.com and to every purchase made on it. This is a business service: by buying you confirm you act for a company or in a profession.
2. Your account
An account is an email address. We send a sign-in link to it; whoever holds the inbox holds the account, so keep it to yourself. Before a first purchase we ask for a company, a name and a country, because a dossier is invoiced to a company. You can change or delete the account by writing to tim@importregistryafrica.com.
3. What a dossier is
A dossier is access to one market: every importer of record we hold from that country's register, shown in full in the dashboard, plus the same records as a file. What a record contains depends on what the authority publishes — names, products, countries of manufacture and categories always; contact details only where the authority publishes them, and the dossier page says which. Expired registrations are removed before anything reaches you.
Access does not expire and there is no subscription. It is to the market, not to a snapshot: when we retrieve the register again, the dashboard shows the new records in the same place, at no further charge, for as long as we hold that register.
4. Price and payment
The price on the dossier page is the price you pay, in euro, once. Payment goes through Stripe; we never see your card or bank details. Stripe sends a receipt; if you need an invoice naming your company and VAT number, ask us and you get one.
5. Refunds
Once a dossier has been opened — its records shown in full or its file downloaded — the purchase is final and is not refunded. A dossier is information; it cannot be handed back.
Two promises stand against that:
- —If a record is wrong, tell us and we correct it, and note the date we did. That is a correction, not a refund, and we make it whether or not you paid.
- —If a dossier does not contain what its page said it would — fewer companies than the count on the page, or contact details promised that are not there — we refund the whole price. Write to tim@importregistryafrica.com within thirty days of buying.
6. What you may do with the data
Use it inside the company that bought it, for that company's own selling: find buyers, write to them, call them, plan a market. Share it with your own staff, and with an agent or freight forwarder working on your behalf for that market.
What you may not do:
- —Sell it, licence it, publish it, or pass it to another company for their use.
- —Load it into a database, directory or product that others can query.
- —Copy the site or its records with scripts or scrapers, or by any automated means other than the file we give you.
- —Present it as your own compilation, or as verified by an authority.
The records come from public registers, and we do not claim the underlying facts. What is ours is the selection, the de-duplication, the classification, the expiry filtering and the arrangement — that is what the licence covers. If you break it we may close the account without refund, and we may look to you for the loss.
7. What we do not promise
Every record shows the authority that published it and the date we retrieved it. The details are as that authority published them on that date. We de-duplicate, classify and remove expired registrations, and we can get that wrong; we do not telephone companies to verify the numbers the authority holds for them, and a number is the number the licence holder gave the authority, not necessarily a switchboard. Registers cover the domestic market only, so a free-zone or transit trader never appears. We are not affiliated with any authority and do not act on its behalf.
So: the data is provided as it is, without a warranty that it is complete, current or fit for a particular purpose. Whether a company on the list is the right buyer for you is your judgement, not ours.
8. Liability
Our liability to you for anything arising from the site or a dossier is limited to the amount you paid for the dossier concerned. We are not liable for lost profit, lost business or other indirect loss. Nothing here limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow it to be limited.
9. The site
We may change the site, the coverage, the prices for new purchases, and these terms. A change to these terms shows in the date at the top and applies to purchases made after it; what you already bought stays under the terms you bought it under. We may take the site offline for maintenance, and we may close an account that breaches clause 6.
10. Law
Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands for our seat, after we have first tried to settle it by email — which is how we would rather do it. Questions to tim@importregistryafrica.com; see also the privacy notice and how to reach us.
